HCI, Accra to organize the Viksit Bharat Run on 28 September, 2025

The High Commission of India, Accra, jointly with the MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, will organise the Viksit Bharat Run 2025, on September 28, 2025 at 1030 AM starting from Hindu Monastery of Africa, Community 1, Tema as part of Seva Pakhwada (Fortnight of Service, 17th September - 2nd October 2025) celebrated as Seva Parv, which reflects Seva Bhav and collective responsibility.

Seva Pakhwada, also observed as Seva Parv, is a fortnight dedicated to service, responsibility, and collective effort, reflecting the spirit of Service (Seva Bhav). During this period, activities are organised in India and abroad to promote social responsibility, civic participation, and community service.

The Viksit Bharat Run 2025, the key highlight of this year’s Seva Pakhwada, is being organised across over 150 cities across the globe under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation.” The event will feature a Community Run where Citizens and the Indian Diaspora will come together under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation.” Participants will also reaffirm their commitment their commitment to a Self-reliant and Viksit Bharat (Developed India), contributing to global progress and prosperity.

Tree plantation activities will also be carried out to symbolise environmental responsibility and sustainability as part of the ongoing initiative of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree dedicated to Mother. The initiative coincides with the 75th birthday of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and reinforces the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The celebrations will include cultural participation by local leaders and community representatives. A free medical camp is also organised in association with the Bank Hospital on this occasion.

We invite all members of the Indian diaspora, friends of India, local community members to actively participate and spread the spirit of selfless service. Your participation will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between India and Ghana, with fellow Indians globally, and would help in creating a network of support, inspiration, and shared purpose.
